The important finish to the Canada West basketball season for Justin Sunga has drawn in public consideration.
The second-year monitor from Burnaby has been named the U Games Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, making him the principal UNBC player to at any point get that honor.
One day eliminated from receiving the Canada West Player of the Week honor, Sunga’s endeavors topped the whole country in his game.
He imparted the week by week distinction to nine extra understudy competitors from the nation over:
- WBB: Kali Pocrnic (Carleton)
- WHKY: Emma Wedgewood (York)
- MHKY: Sam Huo (UBC)
- WVB: Justine Kolody (Alberta)
- MVB: Henry Rempel (Trinity Western)
- WTF: Sienna MacDonald (Calgary)
- MTF: Max Davies (Guelph)
- WSWM: Regan Crowell (Dalhousie)
- MSWM: Chris Weeks (Memorial)
Last week in Winnipeg, Sunga assumed a crucial part in helping UNBC catch the bronze decoration at the 2024 Canada West men’s basketball season finisher tournament.
He found the middle value of 13 points, nine helps and four-and-a-half bounce back during a four-game range which saw UNBC rout three Top-10 broadly positioned schools (UBC, Manitoba and Calgary).
Also, Sunga finished third among all Canada West players over 5.3 helps per-game.
