Canada Soccer reported Kevin Blue as its new CEO and general secretary on Thursday.
Blue had been serving as the main games officer of Golf Canada, a job he held since 2021.
Already, Blue had filled in as the athletic director at the College of California at Davis and was the most youthful Division I Promotion at the time at 33 years old.
“In Kevin, we have a groundbreaking and results situated pioneer in our group to assist with guiding us towards a more certain future for soccer in Canada and to catch the incredible open doors ahead,” Canada Soccer president Charmaine Criminals said in an explanation.
Blue will formally expect the job on Walk 14.
“The work ahead is significant and we will unflinchingly center around making progress, each day in turn,” Blue wrote in an open letter. “Rebuilding trust in Canada Soccer and ensuring that the affiliation is sound — seriously, financially, and functionally — is basic assuming Canada is to make the most of its upcoming open doors locally and on the world’s greatest stages.”
Blue strides in for Alyson Walker, who ventured down from the job as she was to authoritatively expect it in January, citing an “unexpected individual matter.”
